Questions about Botox

Botox

Botox will reduce many signs of aging, and it will also prevent wrinkle lines from forming. It can be used to ease away facial lines and wrinkles. Botox can also restore the former eyebrow arch, giving your brows a lift. Botox procedures only take a few minutes and the results vary from patient-to-patient but are quickly seen in just a few days. The procedure requires little to no recovery time.

How does Botox it work?

Botox is administered by a doctor or certified nurse using a fine needle to inject into specific muscles known as the targeted areas. The targeted muscles will weaken and result in the ease of wrinkles and lines.

How long does Botox Last?

The effects of a Botox treatment can last for approximately four to six months. After this period has passed, you will once again begin to see wrinkles and lines on your face. To remain effective, Botox treatments should be performed three or four times a year.

What are the side effects to BOTOX?

There are very few side effects to botox treatments. Some patients experience temporary bruising at the injection sites. We recommend that our patients avoid alcohol, aspirin, and anti-inflammatory medications for approximately two weeks before the treatment. This helps reduce the side effect of bruising or amount of bruising on targeted areas that are injected. We also recommend our patients to avoid rubbing the injection sites for up to 12 hours after the treatment. Rubbing the injected targeted areas could accidentally move the botox solution. In rare cases, some patients experience headaches that typically disappear within a day or two.

Insurance Coverage and Safety?

Botox is considered a cosmetic treatment and typically not medically required. Please verify with you insurance provider whether or not this treatment is covered in your insurance policy. Those who suffer from neurological diseases should avoid using botox. We do not recommend botox treatment for women who are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Is Botox for Me?

Botox is a non-surgical procedure treatment that is also known as minimally invasive and provides outstanding results without the need for highly invasive surgeries. Any patient who who wants to undergo botox treatment should be in good physical health, including no history of severe allergies. We recommend that our patients have realistic expectations for botox treatment. We recommend all patients who have not had a botox treatment before please schedule a consultation with our injector. We will assess the current state of your skin and review your medical history to determine if botox treatment is the right option for you.

What is the cost of BOTOX?

Botox is priced per unit, so each botox treatment varies from patient-to-patient depending on the units required for your cosmetic aesthetic goals. During your consultation we will asses your skin and note your targeted areas to discuss a tailored plan on how many units of botox we will need to use to achieve your aesthetic goals. The typical price in the USA for botox treatments is $13/unit. We run specials every month. Subscribe to our mailing list to bee the first to know about our discounts for botox. Questions About Fillers

Facial Enhancements

Juvederm® Ultra XC & Ultra Plus XC are dermal fillers available from Allergan, the makers of Botox®. It is an excellent filler, especially for lips and nasolabial folds, as it tends to swell less than other fillers and generally lasts for around 12 months or longer. It creates natural and soft lips and can be easily used to define and/or enlarge lips. Juvederm® comes in two forms, Ultra and Ultra Plus.

Who should not use JUVÉDERM®?

Do not use these products if you have a history of multiple severe allergies or severe allergic reactions (anaphylaxis), or if you are allergic to lidocaine or the Gram-positive bacterial proteins used in these products.

What are the side effects to using JUVÉDERM®
